Description

Statutory Interpretation provides extensive current and historical legislation and commentary on the interpretation of statutes in New Zealand.

The only updated New Zealand text on statutory interpretation, it brings together legislation, case law and expert commentary to assist anyone who is required to work with or to interpret legislation.

First published in 1991 as Acts Interpretation it covered the now-repealed Acts Interpretation Act 1924. The substantial change to statutory interpretation law brought in by the Interpretation Act 1999 required a comprehensive revision, and this forms the basis of this product.
